Since 2002, she has had some solo exhibitions, and she has participated in many group exhibitions in Estonia, Europe and Asia. After that she has worked freelance in her own ceramics studio, where she has also organized and instructed ceramic courses and workshops.
Kadi Hektor was born in Estonia, on 1976 and studied at the Estonian Academy of Arts (1998-2002). Only then will I turn to design and create my own organic sculptures.' I'm not trying to copy nature instead I let my subconscious impressions synthesize them. I prefer to observe and examine nature at close range, and if it is possible, on the inside too. Kadi describes her creative process as follows: ' Nature fascinates and inspires me the most - nature, which has created so many charmingly bizarre forms, structures, textures, and systems. Interpreting these objects in her own way, her´s artistic style is balancing between abstract and figurative, functional and decorative. Kadi Hektor´s work is characterized by a strong artistic approach - it is a mixture of natural objects that she has seen around her.
